In our privacy policy you can read about how we process your personal data when you use our services or visit our website, in accordance with our information requirements and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. The Privacy Policy applies regardless of whether you are a registered user (Licensee) or a visitor to our website.

 

1. Purpose of using your personal data

We collect and process your personal data for the purpose of providing you with our services and their advanced features, ensuring their technical functionality and ensuring the security of our services.

2. Collection of personal data and its use

2.1 Data you submit to us
If you want to purchase licences to use photos available on BuildingImages, we ask you to
provide the following information to create your user account and perform the requested transactions:

  • Your company name and tax number (CVR/VAT/ORG no.)
  • Your real name (i.e. your legal name)
  • Your address
  • Your email address
  • Your payment details such as credit card number. This data is requested at the latest when you wish to acquire a licence to use content. However, we do not store this data ourselves; it is sent by us directly to the payment service provider we have appointed and is deleted once the transaction has been completed.

This information is necessary to create the relevant user account for you and to complete transactions with you and to grant you licences in accordance with our licence terms.

We use this data to
To create a user account and identify you.
To process transactions.
To send you notifications about transactions made, i.e. licence purchases and the related payment processing.

Retention period
We normally only store this data in our active storage until your user account is deleted and pending transactions are finalised. After that, we archive the data according to the statutory retention periods.

Legal basis
The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is the fulfilment of a contract between you and us according to the GDPR.

2.3 Data we collect when you visit our website
Log data is automatically recorded when you visit our website, the following data:

  • Name of your internet service provider (ISP)

We use this data exclusively for troubleshooting and quality assurance, for statistical and analytical purposes and for monitoring system security.

2.6 What do we do for the security of your data?
We have taken technical and organisational measures to secure the website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or disclosure of your personal data. Access to your profile is only possible after entering a password. You should always treat access data confidentially and close the browser window as soon as the connection with BuildingImages has ended.

 

3 Changes and updates to our privacy policy

We will change and update our privacy policy when there is a need to adapt it to current requirements. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in advance by email or on the Website so that you can review the changes before they take effect. Therefore, you should regularly visit our Privacy Policy to ensure that you are aware of the applicable rules.

If you do not agree with the changes, you should not use our services and delete your account. If you use our Services after the effective date of our amended or updated Privacy Policy, the processing of your personal data will automatically be subject to our updated Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy are written in Danish. If there is any contradiction between the Danish version and a the english translation of our Privacy Policy, the Danish version shall prevail.
